AMWA, together with NOAA and several other water sector organizations, is developing a series of webcasts designed to foster an improved understanding and use of climate and hydrological data on the Water Resources Dashboard, a one-stop shop for water-relevant data sets. The webinar sessions target one or more datasets. Each webinar features a NOAA scientist involved in the development or application of the data set being discussed and a practitioner that uses them in their operations or future planning.

The next webcast is Wednesday, August 10, from 1-1:30 p.m. EST and the topic is U.S. Precipitation Outlooks and Hazard Outlooks.  Matthew Rosencrans, Head of Forecast Operations at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center and Tirusew Asefa, Manager of Modeling and Decision Support at Tampa Bay Water Utility are the speakers.  Registration is required. The brief webinar sessions will include a question and answer time. The webcast recordings will be added under their respective dataset within the Dashboard for future reference.
