Should you register for the AMWA meeting but be unable to attend, a full refund will be made if the cancellation is received by AMWA by February 26, 2007. Hotel ReservationsSOLD OUT. A block of rooms has been set aside for the conference, and they must be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting The Madison Hotel at 202-862-1600. The special AMWA room rate of $209 for a single or double room is available only until February 8, 2007. Be sure to indicate you are a registrant for the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies conference (Group Code AMW73A). There is a 14.5% sales tax. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and reservations cannot be held for late arrival after 4:00 PM unless guaranteed by a credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, Diners Club) or a check for one night's stay. Check-out time is 12:00 PM. Cancellations must be received by the hotel 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date in order to avoid first night charges. There is a $50 early check-out fee. The Madison Hotel is located at 15th and M Streets, NW, Washington, D.C. Ground TransportationReagan National Airport is a 15-minute cab ride to the hotel ($15 - $20). Alternatively you may wish to take Metro. The hotel is 2 blocks north of the McPherson Square Metro stop (blue line from Reagan National Airport) or roughly 3 blocks east of the Farragut North Metro stop’s L Street exit (red line). Dulles International Airport is a 45-minute cab ride to the hotel (approx. $55 - $60). Spouses/GuestsA spouse/guest program has not been planned for the Conference, but members are welcome to bring a spouse/guests to the evening receptions.
