Join AMWA’s June 16 Utility Management Committee Meeting, from 3:00–4:00 p.m. ET, for a discussion on water sector security issues facing drinking water utilities. As cyber and physical threats continue to intersect with long‑term sustainability and operational resilience, this virtual meeting will provide insights for executive leaders on operating in a complex risk environment.

The bulk of the meeting will feature a special briefing from WaterISAC staff, including Director of Infrastructure Cyber Defense Jennifer Lyn Walker and Lead Analyst Alec Davison. Building on themes they shared during AMWA’s 2026 Water Policy Conference, where they highlighted rising geopolitical tensions, increased targeting of critical infrastructure, and the need for stronger cross‑utility information sharing, they will deliver an updated threat picture tailored for utility executives.

Their presentation will cover:

  • Current cyber and physical threat trends affecting water and wastewater systems;
  • Lessons learned from recent incidents;
  • Practical steps utilities can take to strengthen preparedness and response; and
  • Ways WaterISAC’s intelligence, alerts, and peer networks support executive‑level decision‑making.

The meeting will also include a brief update on AMWA’s ongoing management and knowledge sharing initiatives, including  Xavier University MS in Utilities Management Program, 2026 Executive Management Conference, and an Awards reminder.

The meeting is open to all AMWA member utilities, with the focus being on executive leaders. CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs may also be interested in attending. To receive an invitation or for questions, please contact AMWA’s Marketing & Events Coordinator Wingel Caburian.
