As reported in the February Sustainability and Security Report, the White House released a new federal flood risk management standard (FFRMS) that would apply to the siting, design and construction of federally funded projects and federal assets.  In support of the new standard, FEMA released for comment Draft Federal Flood Risk Management Standard Implementing Guidelines. The comment period ends on May 6, 2015.  AMWA is developing comments in consultation with its sustainability committee.
