A draft of the Third National Climate Assessment (NCA) Report has been posted online for public review and comment by the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP). The approximately 900-page document, a product of a National Climate Assessment and Development Advisory Committee, provides a broad look at the status of climate change and its potential impacts across multiple sectors and regions of the U.S. and specifically addresses water sector impacts.

The public comment period for the draft NCA Report runs through April 12.  The report will also undergo a review by the National Research Council. Feedback from both processes will be considered prior to finalization, which is currently scheduled for late 2013. Further outreach on the draft NCA Report is expected from the USGCRP in the coming weeks.
