AMWA honored 15 public drinking water systems with its top utility management awards in ceremonies at the 2014 Annual Executive Management Conference. Winners of the new Sustainable Water Utility Management Award were Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority, City of Boca Raton Utility Services Department, Columbus Water Works, El Paso Water Utilities, City of Henderson Department of Utility Services, Minneapolis Water Treatment and Distribution Services, Orange Water and Sewer Authority, Spartanburg Water and Tualatin Valley Water District.
Platinum Awards for Utility Excellence winners were Chicago Department of Water Management, Orange County Utilities, Tucson Water and WaterOne. Gold Awards for Exceptional Utility Performance went to Greenville Water and Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority.
Patricia Mulroy was awarded the 2014 President’s Award for her service to the association and Bevin Beaudet received the 2014 Donald R. Boyd Award for his contributions to the water sector.
