EPA will hold two identical virtual webinars for large public water systems (PWSs) on the Fifth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 5) requirements and the actions they must take to prepare for monitoring. UCMR 5 requires participating PWSs to collect samples from 2023-2025 for 29 PFAS and lithium in drinking water. During the webinar, EPA will present a general UCMR 5 overview and information on monitoring schedules, the Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS), sample collection, and reporting requirements.

The webinars will be held October 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. ET and October 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. Registration for the event is required. The number of webinar connections available is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. EPA will be holding separate webinars for small PWSs (serving 10,000 or fewer people).
