On June 12, June 17 and July 10 the U.S. EPA Water Lab Alliance is conducting a tabletop exercises on water utility response efforts. The target audience is water utilities, first responders, laboratories, and local, state and federal agencies.

The TTX webcasts will:

  • Describe the key elements of the Water Lab Alliance Response Plan and how the plan fits into other laboratory response networks,

  • Describe the roles that laboratories and others would have when they participate in a response to a water contamination event,

  • Identify U.S. EPA water security tools, and

  • Build relationships between laboratories, water utilities, and other stakeholders.

The events will be led by two facilitators who will present background information and a water contamination scenario to students.

The first event is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. EST on June 12. To register for any of the events, go to the WLA training center. http://water.epa.gov/infrastructure/watersecurity/wla/trainingcenter.cfm
