EPA Office of Water (OW) staff want to hear from AMWA members about their climate change adaptation priorities and needs. During AMWA’s November Sustainability Committee meeting, OW staff will hear from AMWA members about their climate change adaptation priorities, needs, and suggestions for future collaboration with OW. The call will start with a brief overview of the recently released OW Climate Adaptation Implementation Plan and pivot to an open discussion with AMWA members.

The AMWA Sustainability Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 8, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET and is open to AMWA members. AMWA encourages members to invite their climate staff and come to the meeting with questions and discussion points. Members interested in attending should contact Jessica Evans for the meeting invitation.

The OW recently released its final Climate Adaptation Implementation Plan, which will serve as a roadmap for the office to incorporate climate change adaptation considerations across its financial assistance programs, regulatory work, research, and employee training, earlier this month. AMWA engaged with listening sessions on the plan and sent comments on the draft plan during the summer.
