On May 3, EPA published its draft recommended aquatic life ambient water quality criteria for

PFOA and PFOS. These draft criteria are a priority action outlined in the PFAS Strategic Roadmap and are based on the observed effects of PFOA and PFOS to the survival, growth, and reproduction of aquatic organisms. States and tribes can use these recommendations to implement their own water quality standards that will protect aquatic life and drinking water sources.

The 30-day public comment period ends June 2. AMWA will be providing comments in consultation with the Regulatory Committee.
