EPA’s Regional Water Teams Support States and Utilities During Emergencies

The Association of State Drinking Water Administrators has compiled a list of water team leads in each of EPA’s ten regional offices. Each Regional Water Team (RWT) includes trained staff from EPA’s regional drinking water, wastewater and emergency response programs. In addition to specific water sector expertise, team members receive specialized training in relevant EPA roles and authorities, the Incident Command System (ICS)/National Incident Management System (NIMS), and field health and safety.  RWT personnel can also liaison with the state primacy agency and FEMA, as well as perform many other support tasks.
