AMWA notes with sadness the death of water sector colleague Michael O. Vann, who passed away on July 13. A long-time AMWA member and former member of the association’s Board of Directors, Michael Vann had a 31-year career at Birmingham Water Works, where he served as both CFO and CEO, retiring in 2006. After retirement, he went on to consult with utilities throughout the country and was most recently executive consultant to the water practice at Black & Veatch Management Consulting.
