The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee backed the nomination of Gina McCarthy to serve as the next EPA Administrator last week on a party line 10 – 8 vote. The vote came a week after GOP members of the committee boycotted an earlier scheduled vote on the nomination, claiming that McCarthy still had not answered all of their questions about EPA transparency. The nomination will now be put before the full Senate, but the vote has not been scheduled.
