The proposed fourth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR4), signed by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy on November 30, was published in the Federal Register on December 11. Comments on the proposal, which must be submitted within 60 days following Federal Register publication, are due by February 9, 2016.
The Federal Register notice also serves as the official notice of the public stakeholder webinar on the UCMR4 proposal scheduled for January 13, 2016 (1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET) to “Discuss the proposed UCMR4 monitoring requirements, analyte selection and rationales, analytical methods, laboratory approval process and other aspects of the proposed rule.”
