To address the challenges of recruiting, training and motivating a talented and diverse workforce in the water industry, AMWA is joining with EPA, the American Water Works Association, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, the Water Environment Federation and the Water Research Foundation to host a series of webinars on Creating the Water Workforce of the Future.
The initial webinar is scheduled for October 23 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. ET and will feature successful workforce initiatives at the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) in Virginia. HRSD is working with the Hampton Roads Public Works Academy to help build a pipeline of diverse and motivated staff in many parts of its organization. Online registration is available.
