On October 2, WaterISAC will host a webcast on “Post-Disaster Power Restoration in the Water Sector” in partnership with the Electricity Sector-ISAC (ES-ISAC). The session will cover how power companies and county emergency operations centers determine priorities for restoring services to water sector facilities and other customers following storms and other natural disasters.
Speakers from the ES-ISAC, North American Electric Reliability Corporation and the Emergency Preparedness & System Storm Center for the Va.-based power utility Dominion will also discuss the process and challenges involved in repairing damaged power company assets and will share relevant past experiences.
The webcast is scheduled from 2:00-3:15 p.m. ET on October 2, and WaterISAC members can register online. Non-members are also welcome to register and should use the code “POWER” on the registration page.
