The Senate this week is expected to begin consideration of a long-awaited energy efficiency bill. Numerous amendments are likely to be offered to the measure, including one from New Mexico Senator Tom Udall that would offer funding for water and energy efficiency demonstration projects. A Senate vote on the proposed Keystone XL pipeline is also possible this week.
In the House, lawmakers are scheduled to vote on proposals to increase access to public charter schools and to extend the research and development tax credit.
