In a May 23 Federal Register notice, EPA gave initial indications of types of information it plans to require from applicants seeking funding through its Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program.  According to the notice, WIFIA applicants would be required to submit an application and Letter of Interest to provide necessary information to validate the project’s WIFIA eligibility, assess its initial creditworthiness and rank each proposed project. After considering public comment on the types of information it plans to require from applicants seeking WIFIA funding, EPA intends to submit the WIFIA application materials for review by the White House Office of Management and Budget.
