On September 24, AMWA, the American Water Works Association, and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies submitted joint comments to EPA outlining support for the agency’s proposal regarding reporting and recordkeeping requirements for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The associations applauded the proposal stating the rule would “broaden the universe of knowledge of PFAS discharged into the environment” and will aid efforts to mitigate the contaminants.
