AMWA submitted comments to EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding the two agencies' Federalism Consultation for possible revisions to the "Waters of the United States" (WOTUS) rule. EPA and USACE recently announced their decision to restore the scope of water protections that were in place before the implementation of the Obama-era Clean Water Rule in 2015. The two agencies intend to develop a new rule to define WOTUS. These comments are very similar to previous letters AMWA has sent regarding WOTUS.
