On Thursday, May 12 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET, EPA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) will host a webinar to present the content, purpose and scope of a draft technical report: Protecting Aquatic Life from Effects of Hydrologic Alteration. The report describes the relationship between hydrologic condition and water quality and gives examples of what states have done to address flow concerns using current Clean Water Act authorities.  Registration is not required; participants can join the webinar directly on May 12.

AMWA is developing comments on the draft report in conjunction with the association’s Sustainability and Regulatory committees.  Any member is welcome to review and provide additional suggestions for the draft comment letter to Erica Brown by June 6. The draft letter is available to AMWA members on AMWA’s Sustainability Committee page. Comments to EPA are due June 17.
