Plan to join congressional and federal leaders and water executives at AMWA’s 2023 Water Policy Conference from March 6 to 8, in Washington, DC, to learn about the federal policies impacting the nation’s largest publicly owned drinking water systems. The event will provide an overview of vital legislative and regulatory issues affecting water utility operations.

General Manager of Fairfax Water Jamie Bain Hedges stated, "The Water Policy Conference was my first AMWA event, and I was impressed by the collegiality of the group and open exchange of ideas. I am looking forward to attending more events and broadening our participation.”

Conference Agenda
Jonathan Martin, bureau chief and senior political columnist for POLITICO, will provide an inside perspective on what to expect from the 118th Congress in light of the power shift in the House and the Democrat’s retention of a paper-thin majority in the Senate.

The robust agenda will highlight the following topics:

  • Updates on CERCLA cleanup for PFAS, the MDBP Rule, and the Lead and Copper Rule;
  • New federal drinking water and wastewater infrastructure opportunities; and
  • Cybersecurity, affordability, and environmental justice activities, among others.

AMWA members and subscribers will receive the 2023 EMC registration information directly in their inboxes this week, and registration also opens for other utilities this week.
