Washington, D.C. – The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) proudly announces the release of its 2023 Annual Report, showcasing a year of unparalleled accomplishments and strategic advancements in the water sector.

AMWA's 2023 Annual Report spotlights its pivotal advocacy achievements, including developing its 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, a guide to steer the association towards impactful advocacy and collaborative endeavors. Noteworthy accomplishments featured in the report encompass robust regulatory efforts addressing critical issues such as PFAS, lead service line replacements, and the Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts Rule.

To ensure every family has access to safe and clean drinking water, AMWA formed a coalition of water sector associations to champion the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program, underscoring its commitment to sector collaboration to achieve our collective goals. The association's inaugural Environmental Justice and Equity Award further underscores its dedication to recognizing member initiatives to safeguard communities' access to safe and affordable drinking water.

This past year also saw the association’s knowledge-sharing efforts soar, highlighted by a triumphant Water Policy Conference, a record-breaking Executive Management Conference, and a surge in successful initiatives like its PFAS town hall meetings, quarterly membership meetings, webinars, and publications.
