AMWA’s Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on the association’s Board of Directors through Thursday, June 25. Six seats, and one additional vacant seat, are up for election this fall.

The Board oversees AMWA’s affairs, including budget approval, major initiatives, and policy direction. Board members serve four‑year terms, participate in committee work, and meet in person three times each year. To qualify, nominees must be the designated representative of a public water utility member in good standing, typically a GM, CEO, or other senior utility leader. Of the seven seats up for election, six correspond to specific EPA regions and one is at‑large.

After reviewing submissions, the Nominating Committee will recommend a slate to the Board of Directors, which will formally nominate candidates for a membership vote this fall. The new Board will convene for the first time in October at the Executive Management Conference in Seattle.

Members may nominate themselves or a colleague using AMWA’s online form through June 25. Questions may be directed to AMWA Chief Policy Officer, Dan Hartnett.
