Lead in drinking water is the predominant topic of discussion in the water industry right now and promises to remain so well into the future. To help members track the latest news and resources related to lead in drinking water, AMWA has debuted a Lead in Drinking Water webpage to serve as a one-stop repository of links to news and information on the issue.

The webpage, which will be updated on a continual basis, includes links to upcoming meetings, hearings and other events related to lead in drinking water. Other links provide easy, consolidated access to AMWA letters and correspondence, as well as other resources, reports and guidance that are commonly referenced in the continuing discussions of the situation in Flint, Michigan, and the Lead and Copper Rule revision process. The most recent additions to the webpage, several letters/memoranda from EPA senior staff to governors, state drinking water commissioners and region EPA water directors, give insight on the latest steps the Agency is taking to address lead in drinking water issues.

The webpage is online at www.amwa.net/lead, and AMWA members must login to access its content.
