The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) recently release a report – From Al-Qaeda To The Islamic State (ISIS), Jihadi Groups Engage in Cyber Jihad – that examines terrorist groups' use of cyber tools for recruitment and training and also discusses the future of “online jihad,” which includes cyber attacks. The report focuses mainly on the use of various Internet-based services to communicate with current and potential future jihadists, but further notes that “young jihadis are also experimenting…with methods such as hacking[.]”
