The Department of Homeland Security recently released a Critical Infrastructure and Resilience Note examining the potential impacts to U.S. critical infrastructure from annual winter storms. This product discusses the types of threats winter storms pose, including flooding, and provides an outlook for the upcoming winter season. It identifies the energy and transportation sectors as being the most likely to experience the greatest infrastructure impacts from severe winter storms.
