EPA released a new Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) dashboard on April 7. The web-based application draws on data from EPA’s Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) website, providing the public easy access a wide variety of publicly available compliance information. The dashboard allows users to generate a variety of data for any public water system as well as perform statistical and trend analyses.
According to the press notice accompanying the release, the dashboard “is a vital resource for Americans that want to play an active role to ensure clean drinking water in their communities [and] supports EPA’s commitment to build transparency and engage the public in environmental protection.”
