EPA recently published a technical brief and fact sheet on drought resilience and water conservation. Both documents provide information about agency activities in water efficiency, water reuse, aquifer recharge, desalination, response, recovery and restoration from drought and watershed sustainability.

The 10-page technical brief provides a detailed summary of activities that EPA is executing both within the regions and nationally. It also describes research the agency is supporting in-house and via grant funding to other organizations. More than a dozen resources for utilities are also described and links are provided. These include drought risk assessments, the Climate Ready Water Utilities initiative, a drought incident action checklist, approaches for controlling waterborne contaminants and water loss control workshops.

The two-page fact sheet is an abbreviated version of the longer technical brief and also includes links to the list of resources.
