EPA on March 7 released guidance describing how green infrastructure techniques can be incorporated into CSO control programs. Greening CSO Plans: Planning and Modeling Green Infrastructure for Combined Sewer Overflow Control is written for both policy-making and technical audiences. The guidance includes an overview of the relevant policy and regulatory framework and several case study illustrations of how municipalities can quantify green infrastructure as a component of long-term CSO control plans.
