The U. S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is currently pursuing price-fixing and bid-rigging charges related to the sale of liquid aluminum sulfate to municipalities and paper companies between 1997 and 2010. While litigation remains at an early stage, AMWA members and other water utilities could be in line to receive damage awards should additional wrongdoing be uncovered.
