EPA published notice of a public meeting for the National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) in the Federal Register November 13. The meeting, which will be held December 4 and 5 at EPA’s national headquarters in Washington D.C., will allow the agency to present an overview of its Safe Drinking Water Act programs for 2020. In particular, the notice states EPA plans to consult with the NDWAC on proposed National Primary Drinking Water Regulations for both perchlorate and revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule.

The NDWAC meetings provide a good opportunity for the public to get the latest information on EPA’s drinking water agenda, and AMWA staff will be in attendance to report back on any developments. The agenda will be posted on EPA’s NDWAC webpage within a week of the meeting.
