The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) released a short video that explains the roles of key participants involved when a state or local government borrows money from the investing public by issuing a bond. Aimed specifically to help first-time and infrequent issuers familiarize themselves with the issuance process and the different role of underwriters and municipal advisors, The Issuance Process clarifies the nature of their relationships with each of these entities throughout the issuance process. The new video is part of MSRB’s free online toolkits for state and local governments and investors to help them navigate the process of issuing and investing in municipal securities.
