The U.S. Geological Survey National Water Quality Program announced a new interactive web tool February 21. The mapping tool allows users to explore data on dissolved solids in streams and rivers across the continental United States (Hawaii and Alaska are excluded). Users can visualize data on concentrations, loads, and yields (load per area) of dissolved solids throughout U.S. streams. Users can also generate maps and tables, filter the data based on areas of interest, and download data directly from the site.
