The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has announced a Request for Information (RFI) on how the voluntary “Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity,” better known as the Cybersecurity Framework, is being used, as well as feedback on possible changes to the Framework for future governance. The comment period closes February 9, 2016.

According to NIST, responses to this RFI will inform its planning and decision-making to advance the Framework and continue enhancement of cybersecurity and risks management for the Nation's critical infrastructure.

All information provided will also assist in developing the agenda for a workshop on the Framework being planned for April 6 and 7, 2016, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Specifics about the workshop will be announced on the Framework website at a later date.
