EPA’s newly proposed Lead and Copper Rule was officially published in the Federal Register November 13. The 60-day comment period allows the public until January 13 to present feedback to the agency. AMWA immediately submitted a request for extension asking EPA for an additional 30 days to comment due to the length and scope of the proposal. The added time will allow the association to more fully engage members “to provide the most meaningful and comprehensive comments possible.” A full breakdown of the rule’s highlights can be found in the October Regulatory Report
