The Union of Concerned Scientists released a report this month highlighting 30 examples of national monuments that are at risk of being destroyed due to the impacts of climate change. The report includes illustrative case studies of historical sites that are at-risk due to sea level rise, coastal erosion, increased flooding and wildfires. The report ends with a call to action to minimize the risks by reducing carbon emissions.
