Arkansas Senator John Boozman has taken on the role of ranking Republican on the Senate Water and Wildlife Subcommittee, leaders of the Environment and Public Works panel announced this month.

Senator Boozman has been an active member of the Water and Wildlife Subcommittee since joining the Senate in 2011. During his previous tenure in the House of Representatives Boozman served as the lead Republican on the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee, which has oversight of wastewater infrastructure issues.

The other Republican members of Water and Wildlife during the 113th Congress are James Inhofe of Oklahoma, John Barrasso of Wyoming, Deb Fischer of Nebraska, and Jeff Sessions of Alabama. Sen. Sessions was the subcommittee’s lead Republican during the 112thCongress, but traded the position this year for the top GOP spot on the Clean Air and Nuclear Safety Subcommittee.

The Democratic Water and Wildlife roster remains unchanged, with Maryland’s Ben Cardin continuing as the subcommittee’s chairman. The other Democratic members of the subcommittee are Tom Carper of Delaware, Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York.
