On October 1, AMWA joined other members of the Value of Water Coalition to launch a new campaign to inform Americans about the value of water and the challenges facing water infrastructure. The campaign hub is the Coalition's website, which aggregates the latest news and information on water-related issues.

The campaign targets audiences online and through social media channels, where most people today obtain information. The Coalition will be regularly releasing content created specifically for the campaign designed to inform audiences about water utility challenges. This content – including a mixture of videos, infographics and blog posts – is tailored specifically to the audiences the Coalition's research has found most likely to become supporters of increased water infrastructure investment. The content can also be reused by AMWA member utilities to help inform their own particular audiences about these issues and any actions the utilities might be undertaking. Extensive opinion research and message development laid the groundwork for the communications effort.

In addition to AMWA, Coalition members include American Water, AWWA, CH2M HILL, MWH Global, NACWA, NAWC, United Water, U.S. Water Alliance, Veolia Water, WEF and Xylem Inc.
