Members of the House and Senate will be back at work this week following the Independence Day holiday.  The Senate will debate a series of bills targeting illegal immigration and a proposal to set standards for the labeling of food with genetically modified organisms.  The House is expected to vote on a package of anti-terrorism bills that include provisions to prevent suspected terrorists from buying guns. Also expected is a vote on legislation to improve the security of federal data systems and possible consideration of the FY17 financial services appropriations bill.

As of late last week no votes were scheduled in either chamber on Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) legislation.
