This week the Senate will consider a House-passed Military Construction/Veterans’ Affairs spending bill that includes emergency funding to combat the Zika virus. Also on tap is continued debate on the FY17 Commerce-Justice-Science spending bill and a possible vote on legislation that would allow Puerto Rico to restructure $70 billion worth of debt and avoid a default.
The House of Representatives is out of session this week with lawmakers expected back in Washington on July 5.
