The Senate this week will consider the first of the year’s 12 appropriations bills when it begins debate on the FY17 Energy and Water funding measure, which incudes dollars for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation.  The Senate is also expected to hold a vote on long-delayed energy policy legislation (S. 2012) after senators agreed to remove a Flint assistance section from the bill.

This week the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on a series of bills to increase oversight of the Internal Revenue Service.
