The Senate this week will continue debate of a comprehensive energy bill that, among many other provisions, includes sections authorizing research and development related to the energy-water nexus, as well as a new pilot program to boost the energy efficiency of water systems.  Debate is also possible on an amendment filed by Michigan lawmakers that would authorize $400 million in federal funding to help Flint replace lead water pipes.
