AMWA led a coalition of 13 water, municipal, and engineering organizations in writing to the House of Representatives in opposition to the PFAS Action Act of 2021, legislation that would leave water and wastewater systems liable for cleaning up environmental PFAS contamination, while also requiring EPA to circumvent the traditional standard-setting process when regulating PFAS chemicals under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
