AMWA will begin offering a new Sustainable Water Utility Management Award to its member utilities beginning next year, the organization announced last week at its Annual Meeting.
The new award will recognize AMWA members that have made a commitment to sustainable management. This award will view sustainability through a triple bottom line lens, looking for a balance of innovative and successful efforts in areas of economic, social and environmental endeavor. It will represent the third step in AMWA’s awards program, and therefore eligibility will be limited to utilities that won AMWA’s Platinum Award more than three years prior.
AMWA members will receive more information about the new Sustainable Water Utility Management Award in the coming months.
