Members of the Senate Water and Wildlife Subcommittee will hold a hearing Tuesday to look at the safety and security of drinking water supplies in the aftermath of last month’s chemical spill in West Virginia. The full Senate may also vote on the farm bill conference report later in the week.
The House this week is scheduled to vote on the “Sacramento – San Joaquin Valley Emergency Water Delivery Act.” Republican supporters say the bill will help resolve California’s water crisis, but it faces significant opposition in the Senate.
