EPA announced the fall meeting of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) will be held October 9 (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET) and 10 (8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET) at EPA’s Potomac Yard Conference Center in Arlington, Va. The meeting notice indicates potential revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule will be a primary focus of discussions along with “other program issues.” A full agenda for the meetings will be made available later this month.
The NDWAC meetings provide a good opportunity for the public to get the latest information on EPA’s drinking water agenda, and AMWA staff will be in attendance to report any new developments. Registration information for those wishing to attend the meetings (phone lines are not usually made available for NDWAC meetings), the agenda (when posted) and additional information about NDWAC are available through EPA’s NDWAC webpage.
