The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has released a new report, ”Factors affecting public-supply-well vulnerability to contamination: understanding observed water quality and anticipating future water quality,” which, as the title suggests, examines water quality issues related to public water supply wells. The study underlying the report examined well vulnerability at ten aquifers across the U.S., and based on the analyses “key factors have been identified that help determine the vulnerability of public-supply wells to contamination.”
