A new report released by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) takes issue with existing regulatory limits for disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in drinking water supplies, which it claims are not sufficiently protective of public health. Policy recommendations in the report include an EPA reevaluation of regulatory limits as well as broader reevaluations of source water protection policies.

From time to time, EWG releases reports on various aspects of drinking water quality, as well as covering consumer products, energy, farming, food and more.
