Following a number of discussions with key senior officials at EPA, AMWA and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) will bring together a select number of utility, municipal, state and federal leaders and other stakeholders to explore the climate resilience challenges that water and wastewater utilities face and to identify potential collaborations and solutions.

The Summit is scheduled for April 9-10 in Washington, D.C., after AMWA’s 2014 Water Policy Conference (April 6-9). The event will avoid rehashing past discussions and case studies that have already been widely considered. Instead, the Summit will take the discussion to the next level by answering the question, Where do we go from here?

Last week, AMWA invited members with an interest in resilience to help identify discussion items for the Summit. Web/conference calls are scheduled for February 6 and 11 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET.  For more information and to sign up for one of the calls, login or email AMWA’s Michael Arceneaux.
